About the Tracker

The Tracker is a free tool from What Doin Coaching — built for people who want to eat out without losing the plot on their macros.

Where the numbers come from

Per-item values are sourced from each chain's published Australian nutrition information panels (NIPs) — for McDonald's, the January 2026 Core Food Menu, McCafé Beverages, and Main Drinks Menu PDFs on mcdonalds.com.au. Per-ingredient deltas (the "remove cheese" line) are either derived by subtraction between item variants or, where the chain doesn't publish that detail, estimated from FoodWorks / NUTTAB equivalents. Estimated values are flagged with an "est" badge.

Fibre is always an estimate

McDonald's Australia does not publish fibre content on its NIPs. The fibre figures in the tracker are proportional estimates derived from FoodWorks values for the constituent ingredients.

Dietary tags are conservative

McDonald's Australia explicitly states that no food items are certified as vegetarian, and Halal certification only applies at specific stores. We honour those disclosures — most chain pages will not carry vegetarian/vegan/halal tags. Always check in-store for your specific dietary needs.
